Landmark News

from the April 26, 2007 edition of The Banner-Independent

Hello from the Landmark Community; hope the reading of this article finds you well.
We would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family of Ms. Charlene Jones, Mr. Laron Brown and Mr. Harliss Hill who passed away last week. All three of these were longtime residents here at the Landmark and was loved by everyone.
All of them will truly be missed by all the staff and residents. Please continue to remember these families in your prayers in the days and weeks to come.
We would like to welcome our new resident Mrs. Ruby Ellis. Ms. Ellis is a very sweet lady and we are very proud to have her as part of our Landmark family and we hope she will feel right at home here with us.
The residents enjoyed several activities this week and one of them was our monthly birthday party with Gaston Baptist Church.    We had lots of goodies to eat and the birthday residents received gifts from the Gaston Ladies.
The residents missed Ms. Peggy Tidwell this time and they would like for her to know that they are praying for her and they hope she will feel like coming next month.
The residents enjoyed the singing and the devotional from Bro. David Haynes from Little Creek Baptist Church Thursday afternoon. Friday they enjoyed the cooking class and a few games of noodle ball.
Nursing Home week is just around the corner and the residents are getting excited and are also helping us make plans for that week. We will also be having our Fruit of the vine and Cheese party on Friday April 27 at 2. We hope you can make plans to attend.
The residents at the Assisted Living enjoyed several activities this week along with Charlie Kennedy on Wednesday morning with the Bible study and Marshall Dickerson at 9 a.m. for the Sunday morning worship service.
The birthday residents this month were Ms. Mavis Morgan and Ms. Hortense Morgan. Happy birthday, ladies!
Our next family council meeting will be May 7 at 5 p.m. in the conference room. All family members are invited and encouraged to attend. If you have any questions feel free to contact Jackie Lambert at 720-0972. Refreshments will be served.
We would like to thank all the churches and individuals who came by to visit this past week at the Landmark Nursing and Rehab Center and the Landmark Assisted Living. We look forward to your next visit.
